In August, we eclipsed $1B in taxable income analyzed, earning coverage from Investment News and WealthManagement.com for the headway we’re making. Since then we’ve been heads down trying to make Worthy even better. We’ve been talking to advisors, rolling out new tax planning capabilities, and adding guardrails that make Worthy even more trustworthy (and compliance-friendly).
Here's a closer look at what we shipped over the summer.
Notables: a new starting point for tax planning
When Worthy scans a client’s tax documents and generates the client dashboard, you’ll now see a curated set of Notables — potential opportunities, discrepancies, and items worth investigating further. Think of it as Worthy doing the first pass for you.

Examples of what Notables might surface:
"A tax liability of $9,077 at filing warrants a review of quarterly estimated payments."
"Reported business income of $167,000 presents opportunities to review retirement plan options for self-employed individuals."
"There was no Schedule K-1 from Pisa Pizza LLC in the client’s latest tax return, but it appears in returns from prior years. Is the client still an owner or partner in that business?"
Each notable item includes an Ask Worthy about this button that turns the finding into a chat prompt — Worthy digs deeper and gives you a full debriefing.
The rest of your experience is basically unchanged. You’ll still see information about taxable income, tax brackets, and IRMAA thresholds. And you can still jump into chat or one of our calculators to get answers or model potential strategies. You’ll just have a little more insight at your fingertips.
Notables replaces the Tax Validator on the client dashboard.

Roth conversions, rebuilt
Perhaps the biggest update of the summer is an overhaul of our Roth conversion calculator. We want Worthy to be flexible enough to handle any scenario, but strategies like Roth conversions benefit from structure. We revamped our calculator to deliver more insight, better visuals, and more detailed reports that resonate with clients.

The new experience includes three visual projection charts alongside your year-by-year conversion ladder:
- Base Case ("Do nothing") — how your client's balances are projected to grow if no conversions are made
- Conversion Case ("What converting changes") — projected balances under the conversion strategy, with the growing Roth alongside the declining traditional balance
- Tax Breakeven — a cumulative tax comparison showing the year the upfront conversion cost is recovered through lower future taxes
You can adjust scenarios on the fly with simple chat prompts — "what would happen if the client retired at age 63?" or "change the conversion window to 7 years" — without having to retrace your steps or redo prior work. And everything you see can be added to a compliance-friendly client report in a single click through the Report Builder.
(Note: Not all Worthy users have access to every feature.)
Behind the scenes, we've also improved scenario accuracy: tax columns are now computed using Worthy's deterministic tax engine, and lifetime savings figures are derived from the full projection model.
We’ll share a much more detailed update soon.
Smarter document uploads
In addition to adding to the industry-leading library of documents Worthy can accurately ingest and parse (now over 200 state and federal tax forms), we rolled out several updates to make the upload process easier and more reliable:
- Document quality checks — We already used over 200 quality checks to ensure the accuracy of document ingestion. Now Worthy also flags missing, damaged, or poorly rendered pages, letting you know when uploads need to be double checked.
- Consolidated 1099 brokerage statement support — Worthy extracts full IRS box-level detail from consolidated 1099s (the multi-section documents from custodians like Schwab, Fidelity, and Vanguard), including 1099-DIV, 1099-INT, 1099-B, and more. Corrected statements are recognized automatically.
- Entity return bundling — When a client uploads an entity return (1065, 1120, 1041), Worthy now breaks out every form within the return individually, making it easier to find the specific data you need.
- Form 1099-NEC extraction — We gave Worthy the ability to pick up nonemployee compensation automatically and factor it into the full tax picture.
- IRS transcript support — When an IRS tax return transcript is on file for a client, Worthy now uses it as context in chat alongside the filed return — useful for reconciliation, amended return planning, or verifying what the IRS has on record.
- Document and client attribution — This update lets you see who uploaded tax documents and when. Clients on a shared team book also show who originally added them, with an owner column on the dashboard for quick reference.
- Expanded Oregon state tax support — Worthy added support for Form OR-40-N, OR-40-P, and Schedules OR-A, OR-ASC, and OR-ASC-NP, joining the existing OR-40 support. Oregon clients will see full state tax data reflected in the client overview, chat, and reports.

Memories
This new feature lets Worthy save important client details across chats. Ask it directly: "My client has $550,000 in her Roth IRA, please save this to memories" or "Please refer to my client as Jimmy, instead of James." Learn more about memories and utilizing multiple chats
Custom prompts
Save your favorite prompts for reuse with a single click. Name it, write the prompt text, and it lives in the "Yours" section of the prompt library. You can also pin your most-used prompts to the three Suggested Actions buttons on the new chat page. See how to save your favorite prompt
And everything else:
- Semi-annual equity vesting — The Equity tool now supports semi-annual vesting schedules for clients whose plans don't follow standard monthly or quarterly cadences.
- ISO sales tracking — Worthy now records ISO sales against exercised lots, giving you a clearer picture of realized equity income and its tax impact.
- California PTE credit carryover — For California clients, Worthy now carries the PTE elective tax credit forward into next-year planning estimates automatically.
- Faster SSO login — If your firm uses Single Sign-On, you'll now land directly in Worthy after authenticating — no need to re-enter your email.
- Smarter chat — Web-search grounding for current tax law and IRS guidance; clarifying questions when context is needed rather than assumptions; and hypothetical scenarios no longer saved as permanent client facts.
- Consolidated notifications — "What's New" announcements and activity notifications now live in one place — the notification bell in the top navigation.
- Branded reports — Reports generated from the Report Builder now include your team's name and logo in the header automatically. Just make sure your team profile is up to date.
- Upgraded underlying AI model — We've upgraded the model powering Worthy's chat. You should notice quicker responses and deeper analysis on complex, multi-form scenarios.
